We are seeking a motivated Machine Learning / Data Science Intern to join the Data Science team and contribute to the development of various AI/ML features for Bloomreach. In this role, you'll collaborate with experienced mentors and have the opportunity to choose a project that aligns with your skills and interests.

Our centralized data science team spanned across multiple geographies, is responsible for the data science modules that power all the products of the company, including Search Relevance, Recommendation, User Personalization, User Segmentations, Content Intelligence and Conversational Commerce.

The internship is part-time during the academic year, allowing you to balance work with your studies. We are currently allowing flexibility for our employees to work from anywhere for the respective region (in this case CEE region) or from our offices in Brno, Prague, or Bratislava. The salary starts at 8€/hour.

Your job will be:

• Work closely with your mentor to define project goals and timelines.
• Research, develop, code, and test AI/ML components.
• Collaborate with team members in design sessions and code reviews.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute innovative ideas to enhance Clarity.
• Document and maintain project plans, technical designs, and other relevant materials.

You have the following experience & qualities:

• Current MS/PhD student in computer science, mathematics, statistics or related field (exceptional undergraduates will also be considered).
• Excellent programming skills (python is preferred).
• Good understanding of Machine Learning and Statistics concepts.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a remote team environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• A passion for technology and continuous learning.
