About the role

The Finance internship provides an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience with financial analysis, planning and reporting in a professional environment.  The intern position is responsible for assigned finance projects and may rotate among the various Finance Organizations in a fast-paced team environment.  The internship will have a hybrid work arrangement and will be required to join us at the Support Center in Plano, Texas on Mondays,Tuesdays, and Wednesdays each week. **A Final presentation to senior leadership (topic TBD) will be required at the end of internship**.

  • This is a hybrid position requiring onsite work three days per week at the Support Center in Legacy West, Plano, TX.
  • This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.
  • Housing, relocation, and transportation assistance are not provided.
  • Availability is required from June 1 through August 7, 2026, with a minimum commitment of 30 hours per week.

Primary Duties

  • Each finance intern will partner with an experienced finance leader who will serve as a mentor to guide how we conduct business and how tasks are completed.
  • Interns will be assigned several projects giving exposure to different areas of corporate finance including segment financial analysis, accounting operations, corporate FP&A, treasury and investor relations
  • Specific projects can include process mapping to discover opportunities for efficiency, building financial models to support analysis and/or forecasting efforts, or comparing financial performance to key competitors
  • Partners with project manager in specific finance area to complete each assigned project
  • Communicates with business partners throughout the organization as needed
  • Each intern will give an end-of-summer presentation to Sally executives on one of their projects

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Pursuing a major in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Software, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Some knowledge or education in General Ledger software (e.g., Oracle, SAP) is a plus

 Working conditions & physical requirements

Location: Hybrid | Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday at the Sally Beauty Support Center, Legacy West (Plano, TX); Remote Thursday or Friday

The typical working environment is in the support center office, and the work is sedentary. Typically, the associate may sit comfortably to do the job. However, some tasks and activities may be walking, standing, bending, carrying light items such as papers, files, books, and small parts, driving an automobile to a store location, etc. These activities are not frequent and do not require significant physical demands to perform the work.

While involving everyday risks or discomforts, the work environment is designed with standard safety precautions. These precautions, typical of offices, meeting and training rooms, retail stores, residences, or commercial vehicles, include using safe work practices with office equipment, avoiding trips and falls, observing fire regulations and traffic signals, etc. The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated, ensuring the safety and comfort of our associates.
