We are looking for an Accounting Intern to join our Accounting Team for our 10-week summer internship program. This intern will report into our Accounts Payable Manager and will focus on assisting the Accounts Payable team, Credit team, and Financial Accounting team. This remote position is open to individuals who live in, or are open to relocating to, the following states: Arizona, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and Washington.

This opportunity requires travel to our headquarters in Melville, NY for an internship on-site meeting on July 14th and 15th. We reimburse reasonable and necessary travel expenses, and you’re also welcome to work on-site anytime beyond this visit – our doors are always open.

Role Type: Intern

Location: Remote

Length of Program: June 1st – August 7th (10 weeks)

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. ET

Pay: $20.00 per hour

Responsibilities:

  • Price check and review all invoices for approval prior to payment
  • Collaborate effectively with internal parties and vendors to resolve discrepancies between invoices, purchase orders (POs), and item receipts
  • Manage RGA credit reporting and follow-up with vendors on credits related to returns, rebalances, and warranties
  • Support inventory-related workflows to ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Process credit applications and maintain credit management reporting 

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Pleasant and personable demeanor
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
