About the role

We are seeking a motivated Summer Intern to support our Business Analytics and Field Sales Operations teams during an exciting transition from Tableau to Power BI. This role offers hands-on experience leading a real-world analytics project from concept through launch, with exposure to stakeholder engagement, dashboard development, and user enablement.

To apply you must meet these guidelines/requirements:

  • This is a hybrid position requiring onsite work three days per week at the Support Center in Legacy West, Plano, TX.
  • This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.
  • Housing, relocation, and transportation assistance are not provided.
  • Availability is required from June 1 through August 7, 2026, with a minimum commitment of 30 hours per week.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze an existing Tableau dashboard and understand business requirements
  • Gather feedback from field and operations stakeholders
  • Recommend improvements to dashboard design and usability
  • Develop and validate a Power BI dashboard using existing data
  • Support dashboard training, documentation, and launch
  • Present project outcomes and recommendations to the team
  • builds and executes strategic business plans to ensure overall success of the category. This may also include AD-Hoc or weekly reporting.

 Knowledge, skills & abilities requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Operations, or related field
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical users
  • Interest in sales operations, analytics, or process improvement

 Working conditions & physical requirements

Location: Hybrid | Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday at the Sally Beauty Support Center, Legacy West (Plano, TX); Remote Thursday or Friday

The typical working environment is in the support center office, and the work is sedentary. Typically, the associate may sit comfortably to do the job. However, some tasks and activities may be walking, standing, bending, carrying light items such as papers, files, books, and small parts, driving an automobile to a store location, etc. These activities are not frequent and do not require significant physical demands to perform the work.

While involving everyday risks or discomforts, the work environment is designed with standard safety precautions. These precautions, typical of offices, meeting and training rooms, retail stores, residences, or commercial vehicles, include using safe work practices with office equipment, avoiding trips and falls, observing fire regulations and traffic signals, etc. The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated, ensuring the safety and comfort of our associates.
