Dispatcher position. Provide coverage, making sure that filling is complete, all drivers have been outbound and inbounded. Changes on the driving board. Extra work/Dispatch changes have been updated. Sending coverage emails to the team. Working with common carriers, plants, or DCs. Trailer location being updated via Dynamic Yard and checking emails. 


Responsibilities

  • Accurately record yard activity using yard sheet inventory system
  • Daily drop trailer report management
  • Bobtail tracking and management
  • Trailer Retrieval from customers
  • Track trailers movements in yard and drops
  • Process rental trailers and coordinate trailer returns
  • Monitor trailer utilization and equipment damages
  • Interface with drivers, mechanics, hostlers, helping coordinators, and other internal and external customers and consumers
  • Manage tractor assignments when needed
  • Schedule deliveries and backhaul pickups as required
  • Contact drivers to perform work as needed
  • Serve as driver contact for "on the road" problems
  • First step accident reporting process
  • Serve as "point of contact" for drivers entering/exiting yard for service and security
  • Provide drivers with all necessary administrative requirements for trips, directions, tolls
  • Complete Site Security procedures
  • Sales contact of off hours load status
  • Other assignments as needed

Compensation and Benefits:

  • The expected compensation range for this position is between $39,500 - $63,100.
  • Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process.
  • Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of customer service / dispatching experience required
  • Previous experience in warehouse or logistics desired.
  • High school degree required
  • Basic/Intermediate level with MS Office and In-House systems.
  • Ability to work with constraints and deadlines with good customer service skills. Able to interact well with others.
  • Multi-tasker
  • Independent decision making, ability to work without supervision
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Must be flexible with other departments and schedules and backfill as needed
  • Experience preferred
  • Highly motivated individual with a proven track record of working successfully in a team environment
  • Basic Math Skills, troubleshooting, and problem solving
  • Detail oriented/Self-directed/Self-motivated
  • Engagement within Admin Team and other teams
