Rincon Research Corporation seeks an Assembly Technician to help us develop and produce electronic signal processing and communication systems in small to medium production quantities. The Assembly Technician will be an integral part of a team working closely with electrical, software, and mechanical engineers, and production staff.

What are the primary responsibilities in the Assembly Technician position?

  • Assemble complex electronic hardware products including installation of electrostatic discharge (ESD) sensitive circuit card assemblies inside various enclosure and chassis types
  • Communicate regularly with engineering and management regarding problems impacting assembly
  • Create and update assembly instructions

What required background will make you successful?

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a production or operational environment
  • Basic computer skills such as emailing, record keeping, and data entry for ordering & inventory transactions
  • HS Diploma 
  • US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED

Preferred skills:

  • Associates Degree (or equivalent 2 years of post-high school relevant work experience)
  • 1-3 years of experience in a production environment building electro-mechanical assemblies
  • Ability to read schematics & drawings, follow technical assembly instructions, and interpret engineering blueprints 
  • Basic understanding of electrical components (ex: resistor, capacitor, diode, integrated circuit)
