Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic, innovative, and quality-oriented individual with an interest in engineering to join our team as a Fire Protection Engineering Intern during the spring/summer of 2026 in Coffman Engineers’ Downtown Los Angeles office. 

Qualifications

Requirements

• Enrolled as a full-time student in mechanical, electrical, or fire protection engineering program at a nationally recognized, accredited college.
• Two years of required courses completed towards an undergraduate engineering degree.
• Desire to work in consulting engineering.
• Prior experience in consulting engineering.
• Prior work experience in a professional services role, performing job functions related to client consultation.
• Ability to work in-person in Coffman’s Downtown Los Angeles office for at least three days a week.  
• Experience in leadership roles through extracurricular activities, education, or professional.

Preferred Skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Detail orientated and organized

Hourly range: $23 - $28
