Job Description

LaBella Associates is currently sourcing intern candidates for our Architecture Division in the Southeast Region (Charlotte, NC, Asheville, NC, Richmond, VA, and Columbia, SC). We are looking for interns with knowledge of design principles and the ability to communicate them as they apply to projects. Intermediate knowledge of all phases of design process is preferred.
A successful candidate will be self- motivated with the willingness to learn, train, and continue building their architectural knowledge. The candidate will be trustworthy and punctual, have a positive attitude, and possess leadership / communication skills.

Duties:

Assist project team in creating drawings and digital models in Revit and AutoCAD. Assist in visualization exercises using Sketch Up and Photoshop. Accompany the project lead to client meetings and presentations. Coordinate project updates and design ideas with other design disciplines. Participate in internal and external design meetings.

• Currently be working towards an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited university in Architecture. Preferably rising 4th or 5th year in a 5-year program, or masters students.

• Have a desire to work with experienced Architects in a fast-paced environment.

• Have excellent sketching and modeling skills

• Have proficiency in Revit Architecture, AutoCAD, Sketch Up, Photoshop, Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office.

• Preferably have internship or shadowing experience.

• Intermediate ability to create graphics for presentations and proposals.

• Intermediate level of organization and time management skills.

• Effective communication skills - written and verbal.

• Ability to understand direction and deliver assignments on time.
