Barings is seeking candidates for summer internship positions across public and private markets in fixed income, real assets, and capital solutions. This 10-week program offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience and insight into the financial industry. Outstanding performers will be considered for a position in our Analyst Program upon graduation. 

Placements are available across a variety of investment teams, including but not limited to Capital Solutions, Global Private Finance, High Yield, Portfolio Finance, Portfolio Solutions & Analytics, Private Placements & Asset Backed Finance, Real Estate and more. 

Primary Responsibilities 

• Support underwriting efforts for debt or equity opportunities through: 

• Market research 

• Financial analysis and modeling 

• Risk analysis and valuation 

• Drafting investment memos 

• Engage in ongoing portfolio monitoring, analysis, and valuation. 

• Assist with special ad-hoc projects, presentations, and initiatives. 

Qualifications 

• Current Sophomore with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. Must be on track to graduate in Spring 2028 from an accredited university. 

• Preferred majors include Business, Finance, Economics, Real Estate, Statistics, and other relevant fields. 

• Strong computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Office applications and sourcing data from the internet and various publications. 

• Excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to work as a member of a fast-paced, transaction-oriented team. 

• Self-starter with strong organizational skills who can prioritize work and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.   

• Ability to perform under pressure and meet time-sensitive deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
