About the Role & Program: 

The Disney Entertainment Research, Insights, and Analytics team is searching for a motivated television enthusiast who is interested in using data to tell stories. You will be part of a team that provides insights using data and analytics to help support executives in their decision making. A distinguishing characteristic of the internship is the ability to work hands-on with real data and relay that information to all departments across Disney Entertainment and several within the larger Walt Disney Company.          

This internship is a full-time, six-month commitment in Burbank, CA from June 2026-January 2027. 

What You Will Do: 

You will be guided by a team dedicated to ensuring you are properly taught, have the required access and software/tools, and gain the experience necessary to pursue a future career in data and analytics in the television industry. You will:  

  • Gain hands-on experience reporting on key trends in the television industry and program viewership 

  • Learn Nielsen and other software and business intelligence tools to report on program performance 

  • Expand your technical skills (e.g. Excel, Looker, Alteryx, Tableau, etc.) 

  • Discuss the changing television landscape with experienced industry professionals 

  • Work with U.S. and Global Streaming data to contextualize streaming performance 

  • Assist in creating and maintaining ratings reports, analyses, and presentations  

  • Use internal and external analytics tools, SQL, and scripting languages to access and analyze multivariate data 

Required Qualifications & Skills: 

  • The ideal candidate would have a passion for all forms of television content  

  • Proficiency with Excel – including lookups, arrays, and logic formulas

  • Proficiency with PowerPoint and Outlook

  • Experience or knowledge of SQL and cloud-based data warehouses

  • Outstanding communication skills – written, oral, presentation, and storytelling 

  • Curiosity and passion for solving problems and answering challenging questions  

  • Ability to be flexible, adapt to changing priorities, and able to juggle multiple projects 

  • Extraordinarily organized and detail oriented 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience with Looker, Tableau, Alteryx or other BI technologies 

  • Presentation graphics ability is a plus (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) 

  • Experience working with large files/datasets 

Education: 

  • Junior or Senior year preferred

  • Major or previous coursework in Information Systems, Statistics, Business Analytics, Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or a related major is preferred 

Optional Materials:

  • Candidates may choose to submit a writing sample that highlights an analytical project they completed as part of their application.

Eligibility Requirements & Program Information 

Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements: 

  • Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship. 

  • Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program. 

  • Be at least 18 years of age.

  • Possess unrestricted work authorization. 

Additional Information 

  • This internship is a full-time, six-month commitment in Burbank, CA from June 2026-January 2027 

  • Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship 

  • Fully available Monday through Friday for the duration of the internship, 40 hours each week 

  • Able to provide own housing for the duration of the internship program in the Burbank, CA area 

  • Able to provide reliable transportation to/from work in the Burbank, CA area.

The pay rate for this role in California is $22.50 per hour.
