The Brittain Resorts & Hotels Internship Program offers motivated students a hands-on, immersive experience designed to launch a successful career in hospitality. Interns gain real-world exposure across resort operations, work alongside experienced leaders, and participate in meaningful projects that impact the guest experience. This structured program provides mentorship, leadership development, and a clear pathway toward future career opportunities with Brittain. All internships through this program are compensated, so interns can earn while they learn and enjoy all the perks of a summer on the shore.

‎ Responsibilities

What You’ll Experience

• Hands-on learning across key hospitality departments including Guest Services, Housekeeping, Maintenance, Food & Beverage, Homeowner Services, and Leadership

• Exposure to day-to-day resort operations and guest experience management

• Mentorship from experienced hospitality leaders

• Opportunities to shadow property leadership and participate in meetings and walkthroughs

• Collaboration with teams on real operational initiatives

• Completion of a capstone project focused on improving guest experience or operational efficiency

• A fun, engaging intern experience that includes team events and opportunities to build lasting connections

Internship Pathways

Depending on academic level and experience, interns may participate in:

• Rotational learning experiences

• Focused department placements

High-performing interns may be invited to return for future internships, considered for post-graduation development opportunities, or offered employment.

Internship FAQs

• How long is the internship? Internships are typically 8-12 weeks long, but there is the potential to be flexible based on your school's requirements.
• Is this internship paid?  Yes, interns through this program are paid.  Pay rate is dependent upon prior experience, but no experience is require to apply.
• Is housing provided.  Housing is not currently provided.
• Am I eligible for internship credit with my school?  Internship requirements vary by school, so you will need to check with your institution for details.
• Which resort will I be placed at for my internship?  We have several locations along the Grand Strand interested in accepting interns, so there are multiple options for placement.
• Are the hours full-time or part-time?  Both full-time and part-time options are available.
• When can I start? Our internships are primarily offered in the spring and summer, though different start times may be possible.
