The OUC Internship Program is dedicated to providing students with real-world, hands-on experience by partnering with energy leaders and experienced professionals, while bringing new and out-of-the-box perspectives and ideas that are essential for fostering the creativity and growth of any business. OUC’s internship program provides emerging talent with an immersive view of the utility industry through on-the-job training, educational sessions, self-paced learning courses, and individual or team projects.

We are looking for an Associate Data Intern. During this internship, you will partner with the Meter to Cash, Salesforce team.

You will be involved in:

• Joining a team of developers on Oracle Customer Care and Billing (CCB) to assist with development, system clean-up, automation, and efficiency improvements.
• Learning how utilities systems work and gaining hands-on experience with real-world technical workflows.
• Shadowing experienced professionals to analyze complex technical problems and work with Java, SQL, Groovy, and optionally Python.
• Collaborating with developers and cross-functional teams on projects like purging old records, handling large datasets, and breaking down big projects into smaller tasks.
• Building skills in communication, teamwork, and project coordination while contributing to data analytics and automated software processes

Internship Eligibility: 

• Currently enrolled at an accredited college or university
• Academic status of Sophomore or above.
• Program of study: Computer Science, Information Technology
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above at the time of application.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Previous internship experience preferred

The Ideal Candidate will have: 

• Familiarity in software development and infrastructure (WebLogic, databases).
• Familiarity with SDLC and data analytics.
• Familiarity in Java, SQL, PL/SQL; Groovy a plus, Python optional.
• Proficient in Microsoft suite (Excel, Powerpoint) 
• Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
• Self-motivated and proactive; able to work independently.
• Ability to prioritize and resolve issues under deadlines.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Solid analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
• Proven ability to learn new skills quickly.

Compensation: $17.50 - $20 per hour, varies depending on the education level 

Schedule: Full-Time (up to 40 hours per week) from May 18th, 2026 to August 14th, 2026 following an On-Site Schedule
