Building Futures Together.”   Who We Need We are seeking a curious, motivated Product Development Intern to join Sabel Digital Labs (SDL)—our innovation-focused software and solution development team. This internship is ideal for students interested in software engineering, application development, and modern digital solutions who want hands-on experience contributing to real products used by government and industry customers.   As a member of SDL, you’ll work alongside experienced engineers and product team members in an Agile environment, gaining exposure to the full software development lifecycle while building technical and professional skills that translate directly to real-world engineering roles.   What You’ll Do (Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position.) Contribute to the design, development, testing, and enhancement of software applications and digital solutions. Collaborate with engineers, product owners, and other team members during Agile development sprints. Assist with backlog grooming, user story refinement, and sprint planning activities. Support development efforts across front-end, back-end, or full-stack components, depending on your interests and skills. Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation to support high-quality, secure solutions. Interns must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future and should be able to support standard Eastern Time Zone business hours to ensure effective collaboration across teams. For candidates local to Beavercreek, OH, there may be an opportunity for a hybrid work environment with one (1) day per week onsite, where departmentally supported. The internship runs approximately May/June through August/September, depending on individual school schedules.   Your Qualifications Required Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now or in the future. This role is not eligible for Curricular Practical Training (CPT), Optional Practical Training (OPT), or other student visa-based work authorizations Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program, entering your junior or senior year, in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher Foundational understanding of programming concepts and interest in software development Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate clearly Preferred (Not Required) Exposure to one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript, C#, or similar) Familiarity with Agile or Scrum concepts through coursework or projects Interest in secure systems, cloud-based applications, or DevSecOps practices   Compensation This is a paid, temporary Summer Internship position compensated at $25 per hour.
