Waste Approvals Specialist 

Triumvirate Environmental, one of the largest environmental services firms in North America, is seeking a Waste Approvals Specialist to join our team in Independence, LA.

Essential responsibilities and duties include: 

• Be a part of the centralized corporate waste approvals team
• Work with Independence, LA team
• Become familiar with TE’s disposal network company wide
• Provide technical support to Field Operations/Technical Service Dept.
• Interact with TSDF approvals departments company wide
• Review profiles and packing lists for compliance and appropriate waste routing
• Conduct QA/QC of disposal paperwork for field operations
  • Collect pre-QC
  • Collect post-QC data
  • Provide feedback to field personnel
• Optional involvement with the TE high hazard team
• Operate/manage a computerized waste tracking system
• Develop an understanding of OSHA, DOT, and EPA regulations regarding waste management as well as Triumvirate’s health and safety practices
• Become familiar with facility waste packaging guidelines, permits and selection
• Work towards becoming familiar with technical, customer service, and business components of environmental services
• Conduct trainings
• Demonstrate the ability to be creative and solve unique problems
• Willingness to travel several times a year
• WOW! internal and external customers!

Required qualifications:

• BS in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Biology, or other related majors, or equivalent required
• Must be able to submit college transcript
• Strong desire for collaboration and teamwork
• Basic knowledge of or desire to learn hazardous waste industry

Preferred skills:

• Knowledge of Wasteland
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and computers
• 6 months hazardous waste field operations experience
