Job Description

Program Dates: June 9 – August 14, 2026 (10 weeks)

Position Summary

The 10-week paid internship program is an opportunity to help drive technological innovation and operational excellence within our rapidly expanding wealth management firm. As a key contributor to Focus Financial Partners’ (FFP) strategic initiatives, you'll collaborate closely with our technology team to align cross-functional stakeholders and execute complex change initiatives that generate organization-wide efficiencies and scale benefits. This role offers unparalleled exposure to a diverse technology platform comprised of industry leaders in financial services. You will develop a multi-faceted skill set as you learn from experts in finance, technology, M&A, cybersecurity, and management consulting.

Focus provides team members the flexibility to work a hybrid schedule. Our hybrid model is defined as 3 days in office work required per week, while giving team members the option to work remotely 2 days per week, or as assigned by their team leader.

Interns who demonstrate exceptional performance may be considered early for a full-time position following graduation.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Translate business needs into workflows across common systems, functional teams, and business entities
  • Support data integration and automation across the financial technology platform and other business systems
  • Assist in gathering financial, technological, and operational data into structured repositories
  • Perform data analysis to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for enhancements
  • Produce business intelligence dashboards that provide actionable insights and monitor KPIs
  • Draft presentations that distill data into a strategic narrative
  • Capture takeaways, notes, and deadlines from meetings to ensure alignment
  • Assist in organizing core business planning and operating cadences; develop internal procedures to guide multidisciplinary teams
  • Assist in mapping current processes and identifying gaps and areas for consolidation

Qualifications

  • Current students pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, Finance, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field.
  • Expected graduation date between December 2026 and Spring 2027
  • Successfully complete assessments within 5 days of receiving the link.
  • Ability to work and commute out of FFP’s St. Louis, MO office; relocation assistance is not provided
  • Candidates must have permanent authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Demonstrated track record of academic success and/or professional pursuits
  • High degree of personal and professional maturity
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Intellectual curiosity and confidence to take initiative

This position is a non-exempt position. The base pay for this role is expected to be $22/hr. Actual base pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, subject matter expertise, geographic location where work will be performed, and the applicant’s skill set. Please note that the job title is subject to change based on the selected candidate’s experience and education.
