PCI Pharma Services (PCI), the industry leader in contract pharmaceutical packaging has an immediate need for a Finance/Accounting intern for its Rockford, IL location.  The finance intern will train on the various functions in the accounting department (A/R, A/P, Cost, GL). They’ll also help support the financial audit process with PWC by obtaining the required backup documentation and ensuring the completeness of those documents. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

PRIMARY DUTIES:

  • Assist with month-end financial reports
  • Post journal entries
  • Help with accounts receivable, payable and bank statement reconciliation
  • Provide audit support
  • Develop reports that help make sense of large amounts of data Work with the finance team on yearly forecasting efforts.
  • Manage the monthly tracking of our physical inventory
  • Support the payment processing team
  • Data entry

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Working towards a degree in a related field
  • Must have college level mathematical skills.
  • Must have the ability to perform more complex computer tasks and has knowledge of various computer programs.        
  • Must have the ability to speak in a way that allows one to participate effectively in various conversations.
  • Must have the ability to read various types of standard items addressed to general readers.
  • Must have the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where there is only limited standardization.
  • Must have the ability to interpret a variety of instructions that may be provided in various forms.
  • Must be physically capable to perform the above duties with or without reasonable accommodations.

The hiring rate for this position is $20.00hour plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including but not limited to specific and relevant experience, education, credentials, geography, and subject matter expertise.
