We are looking for a CAD Technician Intern to gain real-world experience on exciting projects while preparing detailed drawings for bridges and structures using computer-aided design software. Candidates should be enrolled in a CADD Technology or Undergraduate/Graduate Engineering Program, with 6+ months to 2 years completed toward their degree and a 3.0+ GPA preferred. Strong problem-solving, communication skills, and basic Microsoft Office skills are required.

In the role of CAD Technician Intern, we'll count on you to: 
 
  • Gain real-world experience on exciting projects
  • Connect with recent college graduates and our company leaders through mentoring and young professionals programs
  • Prepare detailed drawings, layouts and sketches for conventional concrete and steel bridges, retaining walls and miscellaneous structures using computer-aided design software.
  • Develop details for complex concrete and steel bridges which may include: prestressed concrete, post-tensioned concrete, steel plate girder, and truss systems.
  • Work on typical projects for highway or pedestrian bridges.
  • Apply standard engineering techniques and procedures
  • Perform assignments under the direct supervision of a professional or Project Manager
  • Perform other duties as needed
Preferred Qualifications 
 
  • Prefer current enrollment in CADD Technology or Undergraduate/Graduate Engineering Program
  • Prefer 6+months to 2 years completed toward degree with 3.0+ GPA
  • Demonstrated knowledge of software packages related to field of study/industry


Required Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program
  • Attention to detail
  • Possess strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills
