Our Technical Operations team is full of aircraft maintenance technicians, engineers, planners, ground equipment and facilities professionals, and supply chain teams that help make sure they’re well taken care of and ready to get our customers to their desired destinations. Key Responsibilities:

  • Aiding in the development of Tech Ops safety and quality assurance risk assessment tools and resources
  • Lead process improvement and automation projects
  • Assists with SMS process for safety recommendations and safety assurance
  • Supports with investigations, data analysis and trending
  • Attends and provides input to cross-departmental safety meetings
  • Builds Tech Ops Safety Promotions, Communications, reports
  • Assisting with other duties as assigned

Qualifications

What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

  • Must be currently enrolled full-time in an Aeronautical/Aerospace, Safey, Mechanical, Material Science, Industrial Engineering, or related engineering degree program.
  • Must have a minimum of 12 semester hours in core program.
  • Individual should be a rising junior (at minimum) when internship begins.
  • Ability to work well with others and communicate effectively with people at all levels.
  • Professional demeanor, excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in the use of PowerPoint and other Microsoft Office Products.
  • Must have a valid passport and driver’s license.
  • Work related travel may be required, individuals must be able to travel without any restrictions.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the US for any employer without sponsorship.

What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):

  • Completed college level technical writing course
  • Data analysis skills and/or solid understanding of Excel
  • Aviation Focus (management, safety, etc.).
  • Safety related training/ or certifications.
  • FAA certifications.
  • Previous professional working experience, especially at an airline
  • Project experience in courses related to core course work in Aeronautical/Aerospace, Safety, Mechanical, Material Science, Industrial Engineering.

The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, education and skills. This position may also be eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
