Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, Distributed Controls and Sensors seeks a professional, innovative, and detail-oriented individual for our Power/Electrical Engineering Intern position in Boise, Idaho!
 

As a Power Engineering Intern, a typical day might include the following:  

  • Provide technical support to SEL staff & customers.

  • Develop and maintain knowledge in SEL processes and technologies.

  • Perform testing on new and existing technology.

  • Document and communicate test results. 

This job might be for you if: 

  • You have two to three years undergraduate studies in electrical engineering, with an emphasis in power systems.

  • You have the ability and willingness to work full-time during the summer and part-time during the school year.

  • You have the ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.

We would like to see:

  • Practical knowledge of 3-phase power systems.

  • Basic understanding of signals and systems.

  • Working knowledge of modern test equipment (e.g. power supplies, digital oscilloscopes).

  • Practical knowledge of SEL protective relays & automation controllers.

Boise, ID- This position is located in Boise, ID, capital of the gem state, and on the Boise River in the southwestern part of the state. Pay Range Data

($17.50 - $32.50 per hour) *Our intern pay is determined based on the internship role (the work you would be doing) and your year in school (when you plan to graduate). Talk to your recruiter if you are curious about the rate for your year in school.
