What We’re Looking For
- Working towards BS in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited College or University
What You’ll Do
As a Civil Engineering Intern, you will support the design and analysis of bridge structures and transportation infrastructure under the supervision of experienced engineers. Your responsibilities may include:
- Assisting in the review and verification of standard structural design calculations.
- Supporting the structural analysis and design of bridge components using engineering software tools.
- Helping develop preliminary design details using CAD software and providing input to CAD technicians for contract plan development.
- Contributing to design reports by compiling relevant technical information.
- Communicating effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, in a professional engineering environment.
- Reviewing and checking engineering drawings under the close supervision of a Senior Engineer.
- Gain exposure of structural analysis and design software such as LUSAS, RISA-3D, LEAP Bridge, AutoCAD, and MicroStation.
- Learning and applying relevant design specifications and standards, including AASHTO, AREMA, AISC, and ACI.
