About The Opportunity
This position works closely with the Menasha Packaging Purchasing Team. This position will support purchasing activities. Receive orders and grant approval for purchases of goods or services. Analyzes changes or new issues in materials and supplies in order to find ways to reduce costs and improve quality.Essential to this Position
The Purchasing Intern will be responsible for assisting the Purchasing Team with projects starting in May 2026, full-time, over the summer. Projects include PO management, supplier data management and various cost-savings projects.
Areas of Learning/Responsibilities
Executes tactical procurement activities of assigned location(s) including interacting with vendors, verifying specifications and pricing, creating purchase orders, monitoring order status, and resolution of non-compliance
Conducts spend analysis and recommends cost reduction opportunities
Supports cost savings initiatives to drive operational excellence
Coordinates local/regional Request For Proposals (RFP)
Qualifications
Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or other related degree
Microsoft Outlook, Excel and SAP experience is preferred
Strong written and verbal communication and time management skills required
