Job Description

The Opportunity:

Avantor is looking for a Maintenance Technician to perform predictive maintenance (PdM) tasks, including collecting ultrasound, vibration, infrared thermography, and oil samples to monitor equipment condition. The Technician performs proactive tasks, including routine inspections, lubrication, cleaning, and replacing worn parts, while documenting findings.

What we’re looking for: 

  • Education: Minimum High School diploma or equivalent degree required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 to 2 years of maintenance, mechanical or electrical experience in an industrial or educational setting.
  • Must be able to work on gearboxes, agitators, and pumps.
  • Equipment/facility maintenance, technical understanding, basic safety, and power tools knowledge.
  • Knowledge of process piping, auto valves, exhaust/dust collection systems, and screw/belt conveyors.
  • Additional Qualifications:
  • Thorough understanding of maintenance, reliability, Mechanical Integrity and Quality Assurance, and Process Safety Management best practices, preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Routine Inspections: Conduct regular visual checks of equipment for signs of wear, leaks, or other malfunctions.
  • Lubrication: Apply lubrication to moving parts as scheduled to reduce wear and tear.
  • Cleaning: Clean machinery, electrical panels, and other equipment to prevent buildup and ensure proper operation.
  • Part Replacement: Replace worn-out or failing components, such as belts, filters, or bearings, before they cause a failure.
  • Adjustments: Make necessary adjustments to controls or settings for optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Keep detailed logs of all inspections, maintenance performed, and findings.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Pay Transparency:

The expected pre-tax pay for this position is

$43,700.00 - $72,800.00

Actual pay may differ depending on relevant factors such as prior experience and geographic location.
