Established in 1940, Harlan Electric Company (Harlan Electric) – a subsidiary of MYR Group Inc. – has successfully completed hundreds of substation, transmission, distribution, live line, and clean energy projects across the upper Midwest and northeastern United States. Essential Functions

• Create project folders and save RFP documents
• Create Project maps using Google Earth
• Perform site visits
• Create Estimate Pricing
• Support with administrative tasks as needed
• Complete the life cycle of an estimate from initial price request to submission 
• Lead an internal review
• Participation in the Lunch & Learn internship program provided by the MYR Group Internship Leadership team
• Prior to the end of their internship, the intern will create and present a self-reflection project detailing their gained industry knowledge, future career goals, as well as personal and professional growth. The presentation will be provided in PowerPoint and presented to their direct management team.

ABOUT YOU

Qualifications

• College sophomore or above working towards a related undergraduate degree or be currently enrolled in or attending trade school. If you are a recent graduate, you must be within 1 year of your graduation date.
• No experience required.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to prepare and give presentations.
• Organized and detail oriented.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
• Ability to communicate with employees and various business contacts in a professional and courteous manner.
