This paid internship is open to Sophomore, Junior, or Senior-level Electrical or Electronics Engineering majors.

We are looking for a student intern at our Cape Girardeau, MO plant who want to become part of the solution, help us continue providing quality products, and grow our talent and leader pool.

Responsibilities

  • Introduction and participation in preventative and predictive electrical maintenance program including life cycle equipment analysis, on-line and off-line equipment monitoring programs, various NDT electrical testing platforms, routine electrical motor maintenance and electrical switch gear maintenance programs.   
  • Provide support for electrical and instrumentation personnel and contractors to include support and oversite with planning, coordinating, daily electrical plant improvements and electrical CAPEX project improvements.  
  • Support electrical maintenance activities in the plant and quarry, which includes the repairing and adjusting of existing electrical equipment and installing of new equipment.
  • Inspect field instrumentation, wiring, calibration, equipment condition and proper installation, ensuring optimum operating performance.
  • Participate in the calibration of instrumentation and control devices, testing systems for proper operation after repair, working from schematic drawings, wiring diagrams and manufacturer’s instructions.  
  • Involvement in electrical maintenance and construction contracts, and maintaining records of costs on all project work.

Qualifications

Strong interpersonal skills, self-starter and inquisitive by nature

Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office products, especially Word, Excel, Project, VISO

Solid reasoning, analytical, technical and communication skills

Must possess excellent work ethic

Must be able to multi-task

Desired Major(s):  Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering

Desired Class Level(s):  Sophomore, Junior, Senior

Salary Level:  Paid - $30.00 per hour plus monthly housing stipend

Duration:  12 weeks, 40 hours per week
