Job Description

Location: Portsmouth, NH
ECC is seeking an Environmental Technician/Water Treatment Plant Operator. This position is responsible for performing daily operational duties of a Class B Water Treatment Facility near Portsmouth, NH. In this position, you will:
  • Perform daily operation of a Class B Water Treatment Facility
  • Perform operational duties, daily testing and record keeping as well as process control functions
  • Responsibilities also include regulatory and safety compliance
  • Assist with routine maintenance and facility grounds upkeep
  • In addition to the accountabilities above, other responsibilities, tasks, and deliverables may be assigned to the incumbent of this position
Requirements
  • Apply basic knowledge of relevant principles and tools, as directed
  • Apply standard protocol for work, as directed
  • Communicate effectively by written and verbal means
  • Perform multiple concurrent tasks and meet timelines, as directed
  • Work well independently and as a team
  • One year of relative coursework or project experience in water treatment plant Operations
  • Education - High School diploma or GED is required. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for this requirement.
Preferred Qualification
  • Prior internship involving operating a Water Treatment Facility
ECC targeted base pay range for this position is $24.23 to $31.69 hourly.
