Must be able to adapt to a large, complex, multi-system business and clinical environment, confer with both internal and external customers and vendors, and manage expectations of a diverse and demanding user constituency.
• Works independently on routine assignments.
• Performs difficult tasks under supervision. Work is usually reviewed by higher-level personnel for accuracy and compliance with instructions.
• Supports business unit activities through performing job activities.
• Can function as a member of a larger team or lead small groups at departmental level.
• Defines tools and procedures for daily operational support.
• Works on routine analysis type problems related to a single or multiple activities or procedures that have a variety and moderate difficulty.
• Develop and maintain documentation on all tasks and processes.
• Learns user functions, organization and role in the Albany Med environment to the extent required.
• Maintains technical skill set in order to perform job duties.
• Performs at or above the Information Services performance standards.
• Communicates well, both verbally and in written form.
• Participates in activities which support/benefit the department: prompt, courteous customer service; completion of tasks in a timely manner (phones, mail, faxes, scanning, deliveries, etc.), assist with special requests from leadership and staff members, maintains office supplies.
• Fulfills business unit requirements in terms of providing work coverage and administration notification during periods of personnel illness, vacation or education.
• Other duties or assignments as designated by management.
