Position Overview:

The Pharmacy Clerk / Support Person works under the direct supervision of the licensed pharmacist and pharmacy technicians on duty during day-to-day operations and reports directly to the Pharmacy Supervisor. The Pharmacy Clerk / Support Person will assist in the non-technical functions of the daily operations of MedOne Pharmacy Services.

What You Will Do at MedOne:

• Process point-of-sale transactions and shipments
• File hard-copy prescriptions and other pharmacy records
• Stock and inventory prescription medication and pharmacy supplies
• Process wholesale drug orders and reconcile products received with packing slips/invoices
• Performs pharmacy drug inventory control; including cycle counts and annual inventory counts
• Update patient demographic information in the pharmacy electronic record
• Process new patient enrollment forms, including requesting prescriptions from prescribers
• Coordinate the scheduling of patient medication delivery
• Answer phone calls; document requests and forward to Certified Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacist
• Supports operations of MedOne Clinical Services as needed
• Assists and supports members of MedOne Pharmacy Benefit Solutions
• Portrays the company in a positive image
• Abide by all rules, regulations and policies of the employer

What you will bring to MedOne:

• Must be registered with the state/Iowa Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Support Person within 30 days of accepting employment.
• Employee must be in good standing with the state boardMust have excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal skills
• Strong customer service and teamwork skills
• Must be detail oriented, able to work independently, meets deadlines, establish priorities, and be flexible
• Ability to work cooperatively with MedOne Pharmacy Services and Pharmacy Benefits staff
• Must be able to stand/sit for long periods of time within limited space
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
