Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and attention to detail are preferred.

Summary:

As a CNC Programmer/Machinist Level I, you are responsible for setting up, programming, and operating all CNC and manual machinery to support production and engineering. You work in a meticulously maintained, state-of-the-art machine shop with an unmatched work environment that fosters precision and quality. Your machining expertise ensures the timely fabrication of high-reliability components essential to NAI’s custom electronic assemblies for aerospace, defense, and industrial systems.

Requirements

  • Set up and operate CNC machinery to fabricate various parts
  • Applying knowledge of machine shop theory and procedures, shop mathematics, machinability of materials and setup techniques
  • Perform basic preventative maintenance on equipment and common troubleshooting when a malfunction occurs
  • Interface with Engineering, Production, and Quality to control and meet tolerances needed
  • Implementation of 6S practice and techniques in machine shop

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • General Experience with manual knee mill, CNC mills, and other common machine shop equipment
  • General CAM programming experience/knowledge. Mastercam, GibbsCAM, or Fusion.
  • Ability to program 3-axis CNC toolpaths from step files and 3D models using CAM software
  • Must have good oral and written communication skills (English)
