Scope of Job: This position will assist with establishing process improvement procedures, supporting lean manufacturing initiatives, and contribution to a culture of continuous improvement. This position is responsible for working closely with cross-functional teams to identify inefficiencies, analyze data, and implement solutions that enhance safety, quality, productivity, and cost effectiveness. 

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:

• Assist in new idea analysis for feasibility & financial viability.
• Assist with site Lean Six Sigma COGS initiatives across the P&L to improve profitability.
• Evaluate & prioritize efficiency projects focused on item profit & simplification.
• Monitor conformance to KPI target strategy and Profit and Loss performance.
• Coordinates review and updates for performance benchmarks & best practices
• Assists with development processes for future capacity needs as part of CAB plan development.
• Assist with relationship management and timely communication with Engineering and Plant Operations.
• Collaborate with production and supporting departments to ensure the food safety and quality of our products.
• Develop training material for plant specific trainings and job specific trainings.

• Other duties as assigned. 

Education: Recent graduate or current student in a Bachelor’s program in Manufacturing Engineering or similar area of concentration.

Experience: Coursework or academic projects related to Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Operations or Process Improvement. Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and working in teams through school projects, internships, or part time jobs. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools.

Physical Requirements: Work performed during the day in a laboratory, production, and office environment. May lift, carry, push, or pull objects up to 10 lbs.
