Summer 2026 Environmental Science Internship – Indianapolis, IN
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Environmental Science Intern to join our team in Indianapolis for Summer 2026!

In this role, you will work closely with experienced professionals to gain hands-on experience in the field of environmental science. The primary goal of this internship is to develop and enhance your technical, communication, and ethical skills while supporting a variety of environmental projects that positively impact the local community and beyond.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Learn and apply fundamental principles of environmental science.
• Assist with environmental research, fieldwork, and data collection.
• Support the preparation of environmental reports, permits, and assessments.
• Collect, analyze, and maintain environmental data and project documentation.
• Participate in environmental site assessments and compliance reviews.
• Complete training on assigned tasks and responsibilities.
• Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.

What Qualifications You'll Bring:

• Actively enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or master’s Environmental Science, Environmental Studies, or a related field.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to take direction from leadership, mentors, and managers to execute project tasks.
• Basic proficiency in technical writing, Excel or similar spreadsheet software, and working knowledge of tools commonly used in environmental science (e.g., GIS, data analysis software).
