Pacific Coast Producers (PCP), a leading private label food processor headquartered in Lodi, CA is seeking Interns to join our team at our Buyers Lab in our Production Facility in Lodi, CA. This position is a great opportunity for college students who are interested in pursuing a career in agriculture/agribusiness/food science and would like the opportunity to work with an experienced team!

This is a Fall 2025 and Winter 2026 internship position and must be available to work from October 2025 through March 2026. We are seeking motivated interns who can support us in categorizing and entering data into electronic format (Excel, Word, Smartsheet, etc.), performing quality checks on finished fruit products and organizing and putting finished products away for shelf life studies and retains.  Your role will be crucial in ensuring the success of this project.

Pay Rate: $21-$25 per hour; This is an on-site, temporary, part-time role. Available to work 30 hours per week.
 

More specifically, this position will:

  • Assist in categorizing and organizing data related to the food label audit using Smartsheet or other designated tools.
  • Work closely with the project team to ensure accuracy and consistency in data entry and categorization.
  • Provide regular progress updates and communicate any issues or challenges encountered during the project.
  • Maintain a high level of attention to detail and quality while entering data to ensure accuracy.
  • Contribute ideas and suggestions to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the label audit process.
  • Assist in finished product quality checks with the QA team.
  • Assist in organizing and storing products for retention and shelf life studies
  • Other duties as may be assigned.

Qualified candidates should have the following minimum experience, education, and attributes:

  • Graduated or currently enrolled in a relevant academic program (e.g., Business Administration, Food Science, Data Science, or related fields).
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in using Smartsheet, Excel or similar spreadsheet software.
  • Excellent attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in data entry and categorization.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with label audits or data analysis would be a plus.
  • Preferred candidates will have basic knowledge of food manufacturing processes, research and development, product grading, quality assurance testing and be able to lift and move cases of product weighing up to 50 pounds.
