For 30 years, On Time has led the industry in all medical transportation services and is the proud partner of Robert Wood Johnson Barnabas Health System. We are seeking strong, caring and sensitive individuals who are interested in full-time opportunities, to provide assistance to EMTs and wheelchair van drivers in the transfer and move of heavy patients. On Time provides the training and certifications required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Drive vehicles to and from various medical facilities
  • Provide assistance to crews in lifting and moving patients that are being transported
  • Safely assisting with lifting and moving heavy stretcher and wheelchair patients to and from bed, stretchers, stair chairs using various equipment and maneuvering techniques.
  • Safely lifting and moving heavy patients up and down stairs using various equipment and maneuvering techniques.
  • Regular communication with patient, caregivers, and medical facility staff regarding the patient in a compassionate and sensitive manner.
  • Regularly communicates with dispatcher regarding location status.
  • Document transportation activities, ensuring accurate information regarding the transportation is documented.
  • Maintain clean and orderly vehicle and supplies.
  • Assist with cleaning and disinfecting equipment.

Pay Transparency:

The above reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position if hired to work in New Jersey.

The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate’s educational background, skills, and professional experience.

In addition to base salary, this position may be eligible for clinical certification pay and/or shift differentials.

Requirements

  • Driver’s License in good standing
  • Must have experience driving larger vehicles
  • Ability to use body mechanisms to safely carry patients using stair chairs, reeves, and stretchers.
  • Successful passing of criminal background check and drug screening
  • Must meet LogistiCare approval as a condition of employment.
  • Lift requirements 200 lbs.
  • Ability to assist with carrying patients up staircases exceeding 15 or more steps
