The Talent Acquisition internship is an opportunity to dive into HRIS management, employee onboarding, candidate sourcing, and relationship building while working for a nonprofit organization. Supporting our Talent Acquisition Team, you will acquire valuable resume-building experience and put into practice the skills learned in class.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support the Talent Acquisition Team with data entry, maintenance and tracking.
• Contribute to and develop ideas for culture-building employee onboarding.
• Assist in planning and designing internal documents/events. 
• Assist in nurturing existing relationships and growing new ones.
• Assist with job fair logistics and planning for each semester. 
• Post vacant positions online and refresh them as needed.
• Research locating candidates for confirmed and anticipated vacant positions.
• Develop content for communicating with candidates.

• Support the Talent Acquisition team with onboarding new employees and completing new hire paperwork to ensure a smooth hand-off from onboarding to active employee status.

• Believe in our ability to create the future we envision.
• Other duties, responsibilities, and special projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Education: working toward or having obtained a Bachelor's degree, preferably in a related field (preferred).
• Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and databases.
• Strong research skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to communicate in a professional manner when dealing with colleagues, candidates, and with other external contacts.
• Must be available 15-20 hours per week during the academic year. There is opportunity to work full-time hours during the summer.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Ideal candidates will be detail-oriented, organized, possess a professional work ethic and be eager to learn how to apply their education to professional assignments.
• Possess complete integrity and a high sense of personal and professional ethics.
• Must be available to work onsite 1-2 days/week. 
• Must be authorized to work in the United States (required).

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

The nature of the work requires an ability to operate standard business office equipment, collect, compile and prepare work documents, set-up and maintain work files, and an ability to communicate and exchange information. Physical demands include the ability to stand, bend, reach high and low, stoop, and walk around the classroom 60% of the day. In addition, candidates must be able to lift and/or push and pull 15 to 20 lbs. for short periods of time, and walk up and down stairs several times a day.

Majority of work is performed in a general office environment. Position requires availability for extended hours plus non-traditional hours required to perform job duties. Also requires participation and attendance at organization-sponsored events and meetings.
