Description

  • As a Cabinet Purchasing Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in keeping our projects on track by managing cabinet material orders, working closely with vendors, and partnering with our internal teams to ensure accuracy, on-time delivery, and smooth project execution. Success in this role requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to foster trust in the purchasing process while supporting account managers and the purchasing manager.

Requirements

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Place all orders for vendor materials for all branches as directed by all account managers.
  • Ensure signed customer bid or contract is included with request to order material. If not, seek the vendor approval paperwork from account manager.
  • Follow up and ensure/obtain vendor confirmation for all orders placed.
  • Communicate the anticipated arrival date of material (ETA) to person requesting the order.
  • Read and interpret blueprints.
  • Notify purchasing manager of any backorders more than 3 days.
  • Maintain excellent working relations with vendor community.
  • Maintain good relationships with BU team members to ensure the company has trust and faith in the purchasing process.
  • Other duties as required or requested.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company guidelines, policies and procedures, and applicable laws. Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

  • 20/20 Design
  • One or more years of work experience is preferred but not required.
  • Strong ability to use math daily for the purpose of conversions
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Microsoft Excel skills a plus.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Detail-oriented, with care for accuracy.
  • Good planning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work.
