Village at Belmar, Lakewood’s premier senior living community, is looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position is part of a dynamic building operations and environmental services team and plays a critical role in helping take care of our beautiful community and ensuring the day-to-day operations are running smoothly. All while enriching the lives of the residents living in our community. This is a full time position working Monday through Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assists in the maintenance and upkeep of the buildings and grounds
• Conducts regular inspections of the life safety systems, including fire extinguishers and sprinkler systems
• Oversees necessary repairs and maintenance in apartments and common areas including refurbishment for move-ins
• Ensures the outside of the property is maintained, including landscaping, snow removal, and garbage/trash removal
• Maintains inventory control for general supplies, parts, and equipment for necessary repairs and maintenance
• Responds appropriately to resident or community maintenance emergencies by assisting as needed

Qualifications:

• Basic knowledge of hand tools
• Previous maintenance experience preferred
• Must have patience, tact, and a willingness to assist residents, family and staff
• Due to the nature of the work performed by Ascent Living Communities, and that this position works with a vulnerable population, we do require a criminal background check be completed

Pay:

$20.00-$21.00 an hour, based on experience
