Overview: Listerhill Credit Union is a financial cooperative whose primary purpose is to help our members live financially healthy lives. In 1952, seven Reynolds Metals employees deposited $5 each with the idea of starting a credit union that was member-owned and member-focused. Helping co-workers break from predatory lenders to borrow affordably and save for their financial futures, was their motivation. We have grown from a single office at Reynolds Metals to 18 branches throughout northwest Alabama and south-central Tennessee. Today, we serve 13 counties with a full line of financial solutions. The Role: Your efforts and ultimate successes should be measurable and recognizable as you strive daily within LCU’s vision: “to value people over profit, proactively seek improvement, work passionately, exceed expectations, and make our community a better place”. As a Data Analyst with Listerhill Credit Union, you will play a critical role in improving operational efficiency and enhancing member experiences through data-driven insights. You will support the analytics team by collecting, analyzing and interpreting financial and operational data. This work will help uncover trends, identify opportunities and contribute to the credit union making data-driven decisions. 

What you will do:  

• Collect, clean, and organize data from internal and external sources.
• Perform basic statistical analyses and generate reports to support business units.
• Create dashboards and visualizations using tools like Power BI and Spotfire.
• Assist in identifying patterns, trends, and anomalies in financial data.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver actionable insights.
• Document processes and maintain data integrity and accuracy.
• Support ad hoc data requests and reporting needs.

Desired Technical skills:

• Power BI – for interactive dashboards and reporting.
• SQL – for querying and managing relational databases.
• Spotfire – for advanced data visualization and analytics.
• HubSpot & Salesforce – for CRM data extraction and integration.
• Microsoft Excel – including pivot tables, formulas, and data analysis tools.
• ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) – understanding of data pipeline processes and tools.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• One to three years of related experience in a technical role
• Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred but not required
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced financial setting
• An understanding of financial concepts and KPIs is preferred
• Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) and data warehouses preferred
• A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required 
• Very detail oriented with strong communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment
